Volunteer Opportunity: Soccer Summer Camp Volunteer

Duration: Weekly commitment from June 30, 2025 – August 29, 2025


The Royal City Soccer Club (RCSC) is a non-profit community organization that has been running soccer camps since 1993. Over the past three decades, RCSC has provided a unique summer camp experience for more than 300,000 children between the ages of 5 and 13. With over 100 locations in Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia, and Nova Scotia, RCSC operates the largest grassroots soccer camp in Canada.

Volunteers play a key role in the success of these camps by assisting staff and ensuring a positive experience for young campers.

Volunteer Responsibilities:
Support staff in coaching and supervising children at camp.
Assist with equipment collection and maintenance (e.g., inflating soccer balls, organizing cones).
Help maintain a clean and safe camp environment.
Follow and help enforce all camp policies and safety protocols.
Preferred Qualifications:
Enthusiastic about soccer and sports.
Enjoys working with children (ages 5 to 13).
Responsible, reliable, and energetic.
Age Requirements:
Volunteers must be at least 14 years old by the start of their camp session.
Those aged 16 or older may be eligible for a Counsellor-in-Training (CIT) or Camp Counsellor position.
Volunteers 18 or older must submit a police background check.
Limited volunteer spots are available at each camp location.
Time Commitment:
Volunteers can choose from the following schedule options:

Morning Session: 15 hours/week (Mon-Fri, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM)
Afternoon Session: 15 hours/week (Mon-Fri, 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM)
Full-Day Session: 35 hours/week (Mon-Fri, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
